There is nothing more classic than a polka dot dress! It’s a timeless piece that will never go out of style.
Polka Dots were first made famous back in the 1950’s, the era which saw women at their most feminine. Clinched waists, daring designs and a hint of cleavage. The fifties were a time when women really began to push the boundaries with fashion and break the rules. Yassss!
This season, polka dots have been given a new lease of life and adapted to the current era, and designed for the office so it seems! This dress, from the latest Millie Mackintosh Collection (I want everything), is so my style it’s almost as though I had designed it myself, for myself! It’s the perfect mix of playful girliness yet still professional, with a subtle hint of sexiness with the thigh split which stops just at the right height for it to be suitable for work.
I’ve paired it with a simple thin waist belt and patent black heels, because lets be honest, a dress this pretty doesn’t need much more than that.
Now that Spring is finally here, who else is excited to stock up their Spring Workwear wardrobe? Remember if you’re ever lacking inspiration, my “Workwear Shop” tab at the top is always kept up to date with my favourite pieces! Have a fabulous rest of your week xx
