Life Update!

Hello! I haven’t written a catch up post in forever. But since 2017 has been a pretty big year for me, I thought I’d document some of the things that have happened and share some snaps!

After months and months of waiting and frustrating delays, Lloyd and I finally got the keys to our very first house on 31st March 2017. Wow writing that seems weird considering we’re now in September – time flies! We originally reserved the plot back in June 2016, so after such a long wait the feeling was incredible when we were handed the keys and the house was officially all ours. Yay!

We’ve been slowly decorating each room, making it feel more and more homely. I’ve discovered a new found love for interior design and have really enjoyed watching it all come together. I’ve also fallen in love with Kelly Hoppen – if you know, you know! She is the ultimate in the interior design world and so my style.

A few months after getting our keys, and more settled in the house, we became parents! No, not to a baby, but to our first dog! We adopted Bailey from Cyprus through the charity Wild at Heart Foundation. I won’t go too much into detail as I’ll be posting a separate blog post and video very soon I promise, so I can tell you all about it then.

1 month after Bailey arrived, we adopted another puppy who arrived from Cyprus on the 22nd August. We’ve named her Bella.

I know, we’re mad getting two puppies in the space of a month! They’re certainly keeping us on our toes. When the charity sent me photos of more puppies they’d found dumped on the streets, how could I say no?! Plus, we thought it would be nice for Bailey to have a companion, and we were right. They adore each other!

They have their own Instagram (obviouslyyyy), so if you’re a crazy dog lady like me, follow them over on instagram.com/baileyandbella_ for regular updates!

The last thing I wanted to share is that I’ve been accepted into the London Marathon 2018!! I’m running for The Royal British Legion, a charity very close to mine and my family’s heart. I’m over the moon to be accepted, but also very nervous. I’m not a sporty person in the slightest, and I don’t exercise half as much as I should, so this will be a huge challenge for me. But that’s half of the reason why I wanted to run it, to challenge myself, as well as a good excuse to get fit and obviously raise a lot of money for The British Legion. I’ve already started my training, but I need to get into a good routine which I’m working on at the moment. I’ll keep you updated!

So yeah, 2017 has been a pretty monumental year so far. It’s fair to say I’ve never felt more of a grown up in my entire life, haha. Life is good!
