Hi guys, happy Monday! Today I wanted to introduce you to a brand I’ve recently found myself lusting more and more over when I’m shopping for workwear. Alexander McQueen is obviously a brand you all recognise, but you may agree with me when I say I’ve never thought of it as a workwear brand before…until now!
I was browsing on SSENSE.com recently, one of my go-two websites for designer clothing, and stumbled across so many gorgeous pieces by Alexander McQueen.
I’ve always spoken on my blog about how I like to mix high street with carefully selected high end/designer pieces, and the importance of finding the right balance. I speak to so many people who find it outrageous that anyone would spend more than £100 on a piece of clothing for work, but what they don’t realise is it actually saves you money in the long run. The pieces to invest in must be staple items that you’ll wear time and time again.
Staple items include a good handbag, well fitted pencil skirt and trousers, and a pair of black heels. These are all things that will remain in style over the years and you can easily mix and match.
I’ve included some of the pieces above that have firmly made their way onto my wishlist. My favourite is the tweed pencil skirt, which can be styled with so many different blouses/jumpers to create multiple outfits. Tweed is a timeless fabric that you can wear every Winter and know it will never go out of style.
Also, how gorgeous are the Alexander McQueen tote bags? I want them both! With the square silk scarf tied around the handle, you’re good to go!
