New Chantecaille Products

I popped into my local Space NK store in the week on the search for a new concealer. My beloved By Terry one I spoke about in my last beauty post is finally on it’s last legs and I wanted to try something new.

I got speaking to a lovely lady on the Chantecaille counter and I told her I was looking for something which has full coverage but also moisturising to suit my dry skin. She introduced me to their ‘Total Concealer‘ which she demonstrated by blending smoothly under my eyes and as soon as I looked in the mirror I noticed the difference. Any dark shadows I had before had vanished and it looked so natural. I was instantly sold!

I also couldn’t say no to a beautiful Limited Edition ‘Les Petales De Rose Powder’ highlighting powder which caught my attention. I’ve been looking for the perfect subtle highlighting powder for ages!

The ‘Total Concealer’ comes in a choice of 7 shades and is presented in the cutest little pot. I was told that although the pot is very small, a small amount goes a long way therefore it will last up to a year.

How pretty is this powder? It has a kaleidoscope of different coloured powders blended together in the shape of rose petals, and doubles up as a compact mirror for on the go application.

Here are some before and afters…

I started by moisturing my face, then I put some eye cream under and around my eyes before putting on my foundation.

Here is my skin with just foundation on…

As you can see I have slight darkness under my eyes, especially near the corner of my eye. I took a concealer brush and blended a small amount under my eyes.

As you can see my dark circles have disappeared and my skin looks more even…

Goodbye dark circles!

It looks amazing enough to just leave it at that, but I like to use a little bit of powder over my face after foundation and concealer, so using a powder brush I gently swept a small amount of Benefit ‘Hello Flawless’ powder under my eyes and on any shiny areas to give a flawless finish.

After a bit of ‘Hello Flawless’ powder…

Time for the illuminating powder. Here is my face without anything on my cheeks…

I swept a small amount across my cheekbones, down my nose, across my forehead….pretty much all over!

With the highlighter…

It gives a beautiful contour effect, especially when used together with bronzing powder below the cheekbone. It’s subtle enough not to look shiny or ‘too much’, and looks gorgeous in photos.

As with all Chantecaille products, they are a little on the pricey side, but the quality of their products makes the investment so worth it.
