These first few days of a brand new year always have me reflecting on the past.

2014 saw a mix of emotions. It had some amazing highs, including the birth my friend’s beautiful baby, the announcement that another one of my friends is expecting in 2015, and two engagements too!

The year also saw the most heartbreaking low I have ever experienced. Through this, I have realised that there is no way to justify anything in life and that nothing in life is fair. It’s as simple and cruel as that.

I wrote a blog post this time last year (you can read it here if you fancy), where I wrote down a number of resolutions I wanted to implement throughout the year. This January, however, I’ve decided not to make any resolutions, because if there is one thing I’ve learnt in 2014 it’s that you never know what is around the corner. For this reason, instead of making a list of things I want to achieve over the year and things I can do to improve myself, I just want to be content and appreciate each moment I’m in. All we have in life are moments, and what I’ve learnt to do more than anything over the last 12 months, is to wake up each and every day and be so unbelievably grateful for those moments.

I want to thank those readers who have stuck around throughout 2014, and to new readers too. I hope 2015 brings you nothing but good health, love, happiness, lots of fun and fabulous memories.
