Hello! I hope you all had a wonderful, relaxing Christmas. As always, it flew by and I can’t believe it’s already the 2nd January 2015 and I’m sitting writing up my Christmas post! It sounds total cliché but time goes far too quickly!
After the most hectic few weeks leading up to Christmas, it was so lovely to relax for a couple of days, surrounded by all my family.
Christmas day began with bucks fizz for breakfast whilst we opened presents. As the little baby of the family, Coco was completely spoilt by Santa this year. Her favourite present was an activity play mat for dogs (yes, these exist!!), and she is completely obsessed with it!
Once all the family had arrived, it was time for my Mum’s amaaaazing Christmas dinner. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! As always, we all complained about how full we felt until a few hours later, when more food was put on the table and we happily feasted on a buffet of cold meats, pickles, hot canapés, cheese and biscuits, followed by cake and brandy butter. Yum!!
The rest of our evening was spent picking at food, playing Articulate and finishing off the big bottle of Baileys! Boxing day is pretty much an extended Christmas day for us each year, so we spent the day eating, drinking and playing more games.
I’m quite sad to say goodbye to Christmas for another year, yet on the other hand I always find there is so much build up to the two days that I’m looking forward to having a quiet January to focus on other things. Wow, I sound old don’t I?! You know what I mean!
I hope you had an equally wonderful Christmas and new year’s eve. I’ll update you on my NYE tomorrow, so until then, happy 2015!
