London Fashion Week is officially over for another season. It’s been hectic and exhausting, but above all, inspiring! The atmospheric buzz that surrounds London over the 5 days just pulls me in each year. I thrive off it!
Even if I’m not attending many shows or presentations on a particular day, I still love wandering around, immersing myself in the fashion, crowds, shops, cafes, everything! It’s the perfect place to gain inspiration.
Although I cried a little inside when I heard last year that London Fashion Week was moving from the iconic Somerset House to a carpark in Soho, I must admit the new venue has grown on me. It’s a lot more intimate and yes, you have to be careful not to get run over when you’re trying to capture the perfect outfit shot, but I personally think the edginess of Soho reflects London style perfectly.
As you’ve probably realised this month, I’ve been a bit quiet. I’ve been re-designing my blog (I hope you like it), gathering ideas, advice and quality photography in order to bring you the best content possible! London Fashion Week was the perfect opportunity for me to soak up as much inspiration as possible and channel that into my blog. And it worked! Being around like minded bloggers and seeing how well incredibly well they’re doing, chatting to new people, discovering new places, all of these things motivate me!
These photos were taken on Saturday, day two, (day one will be up in the next few days), and I wanted to share with you some snaps from my day. I only had a few presentations in the diary as I was attending with my friend Jen and actually wanted some time to sit down and have a catch up, which we were able to do over some yummy sushi.
How cool is that wall? Now you know what I mean about the edginess of Soho! I love it.
After lunch, we dipped into the Edeline Lee presentation. Once again, a reflection of London style with feminine designs with an edge. Just look at those shoes. At first glance and I instantly know I’m not even remotely cool enough to pull those off, haha!
I left the City later that evening feeling motivated and full of positivity. London Fashion Week for me is not only about the clothes, it’s about everything else that goes with it. The wonderful city, networking, being surrounded by successful people and soaking up the atmosphere. That is what drives me to do better.
