She Goes LFW! Day One

Somerset house during London Fashion Week is my ultimate happy place! It’s full of inspiration, creativity, style and passion. It’s exciting! There are street style bloggers snapping away as you walk past, models rushing out of shows and it’s normal to literally bump into Alexa Chung (yes, that did happen! love her.)

Outfit planning is half the fun, and although I set out to be organised a couple of weeks beforehand, I ended up buying a bunch of different items and putting together the final outfit last minute. Sometimes though, last minute decisions are the best!

For my first day of attending LFW, I opted for my latest wardrobe suede skirt. I teamed it with a simple black roll neck, Valentinos on my feet and a moss green Aspinal of London bag on my arm. Once I had reminded myself it was February and still very chilly, I wrapped myself up in my Halston Heritage wool cape, popped a trilby on my head and I was good to go!

I arrived at Somerset House early so I could have a look around, before attending the Daks show in the afternoon.

Red and black colour block dominated the catwalk and the show had a 60’s vibe with patent boots and 60’s caps.

As soon as I saw this gorgeous thick woollen midi skirt flow down the catwalk I knew this look was my favourite of the show. I instantly imagined wearing it for a day in the office, with the highest of black patent heels and a crisp white shirt.

Even if you’re not attending any shows, it’s worth visiting and having a wander around just to be amongst the crowds, taking in the atmosphere.

I had a fabulous day. Roll on day 2…
