Covent Garden is definitely one of my favourite areas in London. I could spend all day wondering around the market, shops and in and out of bars.

Yesterday afternoon my boyfriend and I headed into Covent Garden for some dinner before the theatre where we had tickets to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We booked to eat at ‘Palm Court Brasserie’, which is one of my favourite restaurants in the area.

The restaurant offers the most delicious french food, cooked to perfection. They also have a yummy cocktail list from which I ordered one of my favourites, a Kir Royale, that I sipped whilst I studied the menu.

I ordered my favourite starter, chicken Liver and Fois Gras Parfait, with toasted sourdough and red onion marmalade…

For main, we ordered…

Fillet steak with the chunkiest chips I’ve ever seen in my life!….

Grilled duck breast, dauphinoise potatos, grilled vegetables and peppercorn sauce…

We skipped dessert and browsed a few shops as we slowly made our way around the corner to the theatre. I also couldn’t resist stocking up on some macaroons from Laduree…

If you haven’t already seen Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, you HAVE to!!! It was absolutely brilliant, hands down one of the best musicals I’ve ever seen!
