Vagabond

I love finding hidden gems in London. Especially when those hidden gems involve wine!

A couple of Wednesdays ago, I met some friends after work for dinner at the new broadgate circle. We grabbed some Spanish tapas at Jose Pizarro (highly recommend), before walking towards Spitalfields Market which is where we stumbled upon Vagabond.

If cheese and wine is your thing, this is the place to come to relax after work. With 100 wines on tap, cheese platters and a selection of beers on offer too, you’ll be in heaven in this shop!

You simply load as much money as you wish onto a card, then browse the selection of wines and make your choice by inserting the card into the machine and selecting what size you want. The price of that particular wine will then be deducted from the value on the card.

I loveeeee a red wine! But I must admit I found the huge selection slightly overwhelming (I’m rubbish at decisions!), so I asked the guy who was working for a recommendation and he choose a rather yummy glass of Noster Priorat. If you share my love of red wine, I definitely recommend.

The good thing about Vagabond is that you can enjoy your wine on the outside terrace, or grab a bottle as you’re passing by to enjoy at home. I like this because there’s been many times I’ve been in a bar and really enjoyed the wine but never got round to going out and buying a bottle. This way, if you find a wine you love, you can take a bottle home with you on your way out.

Vagabond is situated in Spitalfields Market, the perfect location for a post shopping celebratory glass of wine!

Visit their website here for more details, and if you do visit and discover a wine that changes your life, please let me know for next time!
