My obsession with crystals began when I was little, and I remember being drawn to the crystal stand at any fete, market or gift shop. I would beg my Mum to buy me one each time we came across them, and slowly I grew a little collection of my own at home. I didn’t know anything about them at the time, I just loved the way they looked and felt, and quickly became obsessed with them!
I remember having a little bowl of them in my bedroom when I was so young, probably around 7 years old, and I named each one after a family member. No idea why! My Sister’s was a little red one. Quite random but cute looking back on it!
As I grew up my obsession sort of fizzled out, and sadly I don’t know where my little collection bowl ended up. I probably just threw them out when my Sister moved out and I moved into her room. It’s like a lot of things when you grow up, you lose interest in them, especially when you move into your teens and you think everything pre-teen was immature!
It wasn’t until around two years ago that I slowly began rekindling my love of crystals. My Mum had read about them somewhere and bought me a little pack of them for Christmas. A little selection of crystals in the cutest silk bag, which I still carry around with me. From then onwards, my Mum and I have developed a common interest in them and it’s been so much fun sharing it with her and having somebody to discuss it with.
Over the last couple of years I’ve once again built up a small collection of crystals, from bigger ones that I keep in different rooms of the house, to smaller ones that I carry around with me at all times. See pics below of some of my crystals dotted around my house. I genuinely feel lost without them! This leads me onto this necklace that I have been dying to share with you all. Part of my excitement is because I felt it was the perfect opportunity to share with you this interest of mine, and also because it is just such a special piece of jewellery, it deserves to be shown off.
What I’m about to say I could write a completely separate blog post about, and I will one day, but I genuinely believe that what you put out into the universe, you get back. The universe has a subtle way of letting you know if you’re doing the right thing and guiding you on the right path. If you’re open to it, you’ll pick up the signs and just know. A few weeks ago I had been worrying about something quite life changing and wondered if I was doing the right thing, and that week I received an email from a brand called Mirabelle who asked if I would like to feature one of their items on my blog. As soon as I looked at their website I instantly fell in love with their crystal collection. Mirabelle founder Veronique Henry strongly believes in the power of jewellery to uplift the spirits, and her collections are imbued with symbolism and meaning, from crystal stones to ancient talismans. So special and unique.
Of course I jumped at the chance to own one of these beautiful products and tell you all about why it’s so special to me. The item which they chose for me is this stunning green onyx necklace. The Green Onyx is the symbol of restfulness and purity and is believed to provide a positive feeling, strong mental support and helps to take wise decisions during your difficulties. This is exactly what I needed the moment it arrived. I genuinely believe this was the universe’s way of sending me reassurance and courage to pursue what I had been thinking about.
The key to choosing crystals and stones is to use your intuition, which is exactly what you should do when shopping the Mirabelle Crystal Cave Collection either for yourself or as a thoughtful and meaningful gift for somebody who needs a little boost. Choose the crystal or stone you feel most drawn to. If you keep going back to one in particular if may be a sign that you’ve found the right one and it wants to be with you for some purpose.
