This is the start of a new series on my blog called my ‘Monday Must-Haves’. Each Monday, I’ll be sharing with you some of my favourite things I’ve discovered over the past week. From new beauty products to a piece of clothing I’m obsessed with, or even a place or TV show I can’t wait to recommend. Hope you enjoy!
Rodial Instaglam Compact Deluxe Highlighting Powder 02
I’ve been using this highlighter for a few weeks now and I’m obsessssssed. There are a few other shades to choose from but I love this neutral icy colour, perfect for swiping across my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose.
It creates quite a strong strobing effect, which is noticeable as soon as it’s applied. I only need to apply one stroke along each cheekbone for a subtle daytime look, but it’s also buildable for a more dramatic evening look.
I also like to pop a little bit in the corner of my eyes to make them pop and and under my brows to give more definition.
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll have seen me post this dress a lot over the past week! I bought it last week and wore it out to my Auntie’s 60th birthday meal last Saturday. I loveeeee finding Summer dresses that tick all my boxes. This printed smock dress has an elasticated waist that creates a lovely feminine, flattering silhouette. The length is perfect for me, as I don’t like anything too short.
It’s one of those dresses that you can style for any occasion throughout Summer. I can wear with my trainers for a cute daytime look, or with heels like I did on Saturday night.
You guys. You HAVE to go and see the new Lion King. Lloyd and I saw it last Sunday at the Everyman Cinema in Chelmsford – a cinema so fabulous I now can’t go to any others. They have the comfiest sofas and bring cocktails, snacks, ice cream or even a burger to your seat. How cool is that!
The film was everything I hoped it would be! There’s something about the Lion King that just makes me so emotional. Although to be fair, anything with animals does. I got the biggest lump in my throat as soon as The Circle of Life started playing at the beginning, and I sobbed at the sad part (you know what I’m talking about!).
Definitely go and see it, you won’t be disappointed!
I was having a mooch around John Lewis in Chelmsford last Saturday and found myself in front of the Vita Liberata stand. I was looking for a new tanning mousse and ended up chatting to the lovely girl in there about this brand. She recommended the mousse, which I bought, but I also picked up this body blur lotion too.
It’s basically make up for your body that gives the most flawless skin finish. It also reduces the appearance of imperfections like cellulite and spider veins. I’ve basically become addicted since purchasing it last week and use it on my legs every time I go out! I also applied it to my chest yesterday before my niece’s Christening because I forgot to fake tan!
It comes in a number of different shades which I’ve linked below, but I have the shade Latte which is perfect for me. I’m quite fair so I think if I went any darker it wouldn’t look as natural on my skin.
I posted about our Furbo dog camera back in June (check out the post here), but I wanted to feature it again today because it’s still our number 1 gadget in the house! We’ve had it since the beginning of the year, and I use it daily. It’s basically a sleek and stylish camera that you can set up anywhere in your home, and you can view it live through an app on your phone. You get a notification if they bark, and you can speak to them through the built-in microphone to help calm them down. This is what I love most about the device, because as soon as I say “go and lie down”, I watch them immediately stop barking and look reassured.
The fun part about it is you can store treats inside and fire them out through the app! The girls love this part and I sometimes spot them sitting and looking at the Furbo waiting for their next treat haha.
Furbo has kindly given me a discount code to get you £20 off your own Furbo – just click here and use the code shegoeswear20.
I popped into The Body Shop on Saturday when I was out shopping in Bluewater, and ended up spending a good half an hour in there! I love treating myself to bits I can pamper myself with, so I really went to town and stocked up!
After filling my basket with my favourite body creams and lotions, I decided to look for a new face wash since my old one has run out. I ended up chatting to such a lovely girl working there who gave me really good advice. I’ve broken out terribly recently and I feel so conscious about it, so I really want to find something that will clear it up. I originally had their tea tree wash in my hand as I saw lots of good reviews online, but the lovely lady said it would be too harsh on my dry skin. Instead, she recommended their Drops of Youth Foaming Wash and said her boyfriend had been using it for his acne and seen amazing results. I was sold! I’ve only been using it for a couple of days so I’ll let you know what I think in a few weeks…fingers crossed I’ll notice a difference!
How gorgeous are these block heels for work? In the warm, Summer months I find it’s far more comfortable to switch from stiletto heels to block heels, especially during a day at work. These mid-heels are ideal for a full day of meetings due to the width of the heel providing extra comfort.
