It’s official! The clocks are going forward this weekend which means we are slowly making the transition into Spring. Yippee!! Brighter mornings, longer evenings and hopefully the start of warmer weather. I can’t wait!
There’s just one catch…I live in the UK, which means this transition isn’t as smooth as those in warmer climates experience, and this weekend was the perfect example!
I awoke on Friday to glorious sunshine, bright skies and temperatures that I’m adamant reached highs of almost 20 degrees. Moods were lifted and people ventured out of their houses with huge smiles on their faces, ready to make the most of the weather! Wow, I’m making us Brits sound like we’re usually so miserable, but it is incredible what a bit of sunshine can do!
The following day could not have been more opposite to the day before. Grey skies, wind and rain all day long!
Anyway, my point is, where the weather is concerned we don’t know what we’re going to get, so our wardrobes need to be kitted out with staple items that we can easily style, whatever the season!
My ultimate transition item is the perfect pair of over the knee boots. Now, I’m ashamed to admit that I did not even own a pair up until a couple of weeks ago! I’m so fussy when it comes to boots, and I could not for the life of me find the perfect pair. That was until I discovered this pair from Moda in Pelle. They very kindly invited me to take part in their latest campaign, Wear Now, Wear Later, and showcase how I style my boots for both Winter and Summer.
In this post, I’m covering Winter. I styled my boots with my faithful black skinny jeans, a black top, Halston Heritage wool cape (sold out but similar here, here and here), a fedora and a rucksack (sold out but similar here and here).
Perfect for those days that make us doubt whether we will ever make it to Spring! And trust me, the day I shot these photos was one of those days! You can see in the photo below I’m holding onto my hat for dear life haha.
See how I style the same boots for Summer in my next post. See you then!
