Kong, Paris

There was one place I simply had to revisit in Paris, and that was Kong.

It was my mission to take my sister to the most fabulous spots in Paris seeing as we were there for her birthday, and there is no other way to describe this restaurant other than utterly fabulous. The location, view, decor, food and cocktails, everything is what you would expect from a restaurant that was filmed for an episode in Sex and the City.

I first came here with my friends earlier in the year and vowed if I ever returned to the city, I would come back simply for the black cod alone.

I wore: Pull & Bear dress, silk overcoat by Kate Moss for Topshop, Zara fringe clutch and Bianca Louboutins.

My beautiful and stylish Mum (on the left) wore: Karen Millen dress and Hobbs shoes.

Despite the fact it was 8pm, the summer sun still lit up the rooftop dome.

And as the sun set, the mini lamps on each table were switched on and the music was turned up, creating a chilled, sexy vibe throughout the restaurant.

I was channeling my inner Carrie Bradshaw by making the cosmopolitan my choice of cocktail for the evening. An oldie but a goodie 😉

Rain crashed against the glass dome as we worked our way through our mains.

I was a very bad blogger and only remembered to take photos of the food once it was too late. Please see my video at the bottom of this post which includes footage of our food.

We shared a mixed platter for starter, which included satay chicken, salmon sashimi, mushrooms with fois gras, crab and prawns. For main I had the black cod, obviously, and it was absolutely delicious. It melted in my mouth just like it did on my previous visit.

Kong is my favourite restaurant in Paris. I adore the chic atmosphere and the food is always incredible. It’s the type of place that makes you want to put on your sexiest dress and favourite shoes.

It’s also amazing for people watching. Anyone else who watches Pump Rules or Beverley Hills Housewives, you will know what I mean when I say this…Kong is the Sur of Paris. The waitresses all look like models and are ridiculously good looking! You cannot help but stare when they walk around the restaurant as though they’re on a catwalk.

Many cosmopolitans later, and after a long day of travelling, I was ready for my bed! The feeling was mutual too, so we jumped into a cab and headed back to our hotel. We had an early start the following morning for a special breakfast reservation which I will update you on in my next blog post…

In the meantime, here is my video of Part 1 of our trip, which includes lots of footage of Kong and most importantly, our food!
