How To Wear Leopard Print In The Office

Not everyone is a fan of wearing leopard print in the office, and I must be honest when I first started working in the City 10 years ago it was very rarely seen. Although, I still have a leopard print cardigan from Karen Millen hanging up in my wardrobe from all those years ago – still going strong! I loved it so much I wore it with my favourite black pencil skirt every chance I could.

Leopard print has been around far longer than I have been working, and despite being one of the top trends for Autumn/Winter 2018, it’s always been in style. This is why I always make the purchase whenever I spot a piece that I like, because I know I’ll get the wear out of it over the years.

As there are so many pieces in this fabulous print on the high street at the moment, I wanted to put together my favourites that would be perfect to wear to work, and give you some tips on how to wear them to remain smart and stylish at the same time.

Personally, I like to choose one leopard print piece and use that as my statement piece and style it around that. I won’t add anything too complicated or mix with a different print, as it’ll look too much. This grey dress I’m wearing in this post is perfect for the office as it’s wrap style, doesn’t show too much skin and I can pair with a simple pair of black heels and a black long woollen coat to look professional and smart. It’s great for wearing during the day and into the evening too.

If I choose a leopard print skirt, I’d pair it with a plain block coloured top or knit, either black or brown, to give the look some structure. Then I’d pop on a pair of court heels in a colour to match the top and the look is complete.

A leopard print coat is a wardrobe staple! I’ve had a faux fur number in my wardrobe since I was 18 and I still wear it every single Winter. I’ve included a few gorgeous options below that would be perfect to wear to work. The trick is to pair them with a simple, understated outfit such as a pair of black trousers and roll neck top, or a little black dress. This way, the coat does all the talking and doesn’t distract.

For subtle ways to include leopard print into your workwear looks, I’d go for a pair of gloves or this fabulous faux fur scarf draped over your black or camel coloured coat. They’re the perfect way to add a bit of glamour to your day!

I’ve included all my favourite picks below, and also revealed a 20% off code below some of the coats! Happy shopping!
