Buying your Winter coat for work is a big deal! You want one that ticks all the right boxes and will last you through the season.

If you’re anything like me, you’ll have 101 coats on your shopping wishlist but have yet to make a formal decision on which one to buy. It doesn’t help that I’m the most indecisive person on the entire planet. Do I get a long coat? woolen? trench? And which colour? beige? black? burgandy?! So many decisions and so little time!!

I want the perfect one. A coat I can wear to work every day, that’ll go with pretty much every outfit and be smart enough to wear to meetings and client dinners.

Seeing as it’s getting colder and colder by the day, especially in the mornings when I’m literally shivering walking to the office, I’ve realised it’s about time I made a decision.

I’ve narrowed my choices down to four categories: woolen, trench, parka and pea coats. Trench coats are most suited for Autumn because of their thinner material, which means they don’t quite cut it when the cold really kicks in. That’s when a good woolen coat is essential! I’ve made a separate category for pea coats because, well, why not?! and I’ve included parka coats too because they just look too cosy I couldn’t resist. Parkas are still suitable for a corporate environment too, especially if you go for black. But personally, I don’t think you can go wrong with a smart, woolen number for work, and that’s why the woolen category has been split into two parts because there are just so many beautiful options!

Happy shopping! I hope you find the coat of your dreams…and if you do, let me know in the comments below! xx
